HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
NC high school students from Summer Ventures and other summer research programs at college degree-granting institutions and other dual-enrollment students may attend SNCURCS and present research or creative works. Here are the steps these students must follow:
- If you wish to present a poster, presentation, creative exhibition, or performance, follow the directions to Submit an Abstract before October 3, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Only one abstract per person will be accepted. It is strongly recommended that you consult the SNCURCS Abstract Submission Preview BEFORE beginning your Abstract Submission.
During the abstract submission process, high school students MUST identify a faculty mentor who will review and approve the abstract. High school students must also identify correct contact information for themselves and faculty mentors, as all communication between SNCURCS and participants will be conducted through email.
Once you have begun the abstract submission process, please use the login and password provided to you via email each time you return to the abstract submission portal. This will ensure that duplicate accounts are not created under your name, and it will allow you save your progress as you go.
If you are a high school student who wishes to attend SNCURCS, but not present, proceed to Step 2: Registration.
- Once your abstract has been approved by your faculty mentor, please proceed to the Registrationpage. Registration closes on November 5, 2016.
If more than one student from your high school plans to attend SNCURCS, check with your school administrator or faculty mentor about the possibility of Group Registration. If your high school wishes to register as a group, you do not have to register as an individual. If your high school does not decide to register as a group, please register as an individual, and pay the $35 fee with check or credit card.
