Students must submit an abstract AND register by November 25, 2024 in order to present at SNCURCS 2024.

The Abstract Submission and Registration Portals will open November 1, 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

All undergraduate students enrolled in North Carolina colleges, universities, or community colleges (and high school students) who have completed a mentored research project through an accredited university are eligible to participate in SNCURCS.

All North Carolina undergraduate sophomores are also eligible to apply for a George Barthalmus Undergraduate Research Awards to fund an ongoing research project.

 

ABSTRACTS

Abstracts must be 250 words or less.  Students are responsible for seeking mentor approval for their abstract before submission.

      • An abstract is a concise paragraph summary of your research project or creative work totaling 250 words or less.

 

REGISTRATION

There is a $10 Registration Fee for all student presenters.

Students will have the option to pay for their registration directly or indicate if their institution will cover their registration fee. Students should consult with their home institution before registering.

Note: Students who select the option for their home institution to pay will need to provide contact information for the person able to verify payment.  Registration will not be complete until approval by the home institution.

What does my registration fee cover?  Registration fees are used to cover the expenses related to hosting SNCURCS (space and poster board rentals, meals, clean up, etc.)  and also fund the George Barthalmus Undergraduate Research Awards, which support undergraduate researchers across the state of North Carolina.
