This journal began in 2006 as the companion journal for the State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS). Explorations celebrates the ingenuity, creativity and engaged learning being undertaken by undergraduates throughout the state.

Explorations offers the opportunity for undergraduates at any 2 or 4-year college, community college or university across the state to be published in a peer-reviewed journal and showcase their exciting work.

One volume is published each year and featured at the SNCURCS conference. See the Explorations website for submission guidelines.
